Ellerslie Dry Cleaners is a family-owned dry cleaning business with a proud history.
Customers from Ellerslie, the nearby suburbs and companies throughout Auckland have trusted us with their wedding dresses, business suits, linens, uniforms, leather jackets, designer clothing, rugs, drapes and treasured family hand-me-downs for over 40 years. That is a responsibility we do not take lightly.
From the moment you leave your garments with us, they are treated with respect.
We inspect everything carefully for stains or damage, and if any is found, you will be notified. Garments are sorted according to their colour and fabric, pre-spotted and cleaned using the most suitable method, whether that be dry cleaning, wet cleaning or combination of both. We use state-of-the-art technology, providing the most efficient cleaning and finishing at every stage of the dry cleaning process.
The original owner, Yvonne, started Ellerslie Dry Cleaners in the Auckland suburb of Ellerslie in 1975.
Paul bought the business in 1999, and today his son Michael and daughter-in-law Sarah now run the company together with managers Joanne and Mandy. They continue to maintain the high standard of quality cleaning that Ellerslie locals have enjoyed for decades, relying upon the wealth of knowledge and expertise gleaned from the generations before them.
Clothing Care Tip
Always hang dry your clothes after doing your own washing to prevent shrinkage. It is the tumble drying in the dryer that cause the most shrinkage. Washing usually causes only a little bit of shrinkage.
Do not hang your knitwear from the shoulders to prevent “hanger humps”. Always fold and place your knitwear over the bar of the hanger.
